History of Company
Carl and Becky White purchased Beam Printing Company on Court Street
in downtown Statesville in 1962. Dramatic growth has occurred in
the Company as it has grown from a two-press operation on Court Street to
a full manufacturing facility, two-location business with
operations in Statesville and Mooresville.
The Company name, Bec-Car Printing Co., Inc., was developed by using the
first three letters of Becky's and Carl's names, and was implemented in
1965 followed by a move to 970 Davie Avenue in 1975. Relocation
allowed adequate parking for customers and increased the area
available for equipment and personnel. The 1980 addition to the
plant provided needed production and office space for a company whose
products were in constant demand.
Carl died in 1982. In the spirit with which he established the
Company aims and principles of providing quality printing at competitive
prices in a reasonable time period. Bec-Car has continued to forge ahead
and build on his visions and the traditions of the printing business.

A special dream of Carl's was realized in 1990, when Bec-Car began
operating in Mooresville. First on Hwy. 150 West near Talbert Road, then
at a larger facility at 128 West Plaza Drive, located at the 150/21
junction. Growth continues to be phenomenal.
The basement of the Davie Avenue facility was completed in the mid-1990's,
permitting more storage capability. Services have continued to be
expanded as space and technology allowed, and include sophisticated
prepress and comprehensive bindery equipment. A major emphasis has
been placed on personnel training, assuring a
growing list of satisfied customers and continued growth for Bec-Car
Printing Co., Inc.
